The Turkish Personal Data Protection Authority announced on 05.01.2024 on its official website that the amounts of administrative fines regulated under Article 18 of the Personal Data Protection Law (''Law'') have been increased by the revaluation rate determined in accordance with the relevant provisions of the Misdemeanor Law and the Tax Procedure Law.
The amounts of the administrative fines regulated in Article 18 of the Law in 2023 and as of 2024 are as follows:
Accordingly, as of 01.01.2024, the administrative fine amounts have been increased by 58.46%, which is the revaluation rate, compared to the administrative fine amounts determined for the previous year.
