Seminar: “Gun Jumping Violations in Mergers and Acquisitions: An Examination of Recent Case Law in the European Union and Türkiye and Best Practice Examples”

Our Founding Attorney, Nuri Melih İnce, delivered a presentation titled “Gun Jumping Violations in Mergers and Acquisitions: An Examination of Recent Case Law in the European Union and Türkiye and Best Practice Examples” on 07.04.2026, as part of the Istanbul Bilgi University Competition Law in Practice Seminars 2026.

Within the scope of the presentation, mergers and acquisitions implemented without the approval of competition authorities were examined from a comparative perspective. In this context, the boundaries of concepts such as “exercise of de facto control” and “exchange of competitively sensitive information” were addressed, and practices that may be adopted to mitigate infringement risks were evaluated.
