The healthcare sector has undergone a rapid digital transformation in recent years, driven by advances in technology and data analytics, the COVID-19 pandemic and entrepreneurs. Digital transformation has brought significant changes in many areas, from healthcare service provision to R&D, innovation and health policies. These developments paved the way for the enactment of new legal regulations specific to digital sectors, as well as the application of general legal regulations in the field of digital health.
Today, we are witnessing the rapid spread of digital health applications in Türkiye and an increase in the number of products and services. As a law firm that closely follows the developments in the field of digital health, we decided to periodically publish our Digital Health Law Bulletin in order to contribute to the digital health ecosystem in our country.
The first issue of the Digital Health Law Bulletin, which we have written with these thoughts and which you are currently reading, examines important issues compiled from current developments in our country and in Europe.
We can highlight the recently approved Regulation on European Health Data Space and the EU AI Act as the most prominent topics of our first issue. In our Bulletin, we have also covered various developments regarding the Turkish Health Valley, reimbursement, medical product promotion, data protection and competition law.
We hope that our bulletin will be beneficial for everyone interested in the subject and add value to the digital health ecosystem in our country. Enjoy your reading!
